Welcome to Love Elk River. We are a Christian discipleship ministry operating under the umbrella of Pray Elk River, a prayer movement serving Elk River and the surrounding area.

Love Elk River was founded in 2000 as a prayer-centered discipleship ministry to help individuals and families with spiritual and physical needs by offering them a relationship-based network of support.  Over the years, the ministry has helped 100s of people by applying the Luke 10 model of ministry designed by Jesus Christ as He sent out disciples to the cities He intended to visit.

The people of the City of Elk River and the surrounding area are being encouraged to perform acts of random kindness during the month and then record them via internet, telephone, mail, or drop box.

Elk River Mayor Stephanie Klinzing is spearheading the campaign, which is sponsored by Love Elk River. She had said that the city will experience a “climate change” as acts of random kindness are carried out all over the city during February. “Acts of random kindness are done for no other reason than to make someone else smile and feel better,” Mayor Klinzing said recently. “To have this level of unselfish actions going on in the city for an entire month will definitely lift us all up.”
