On my way out I noticed a small elderly woman with a basket full of groceries having trouble pushing her cart through the exit. I asked if she would like some help loading her groceries into her car. I did that and took my time doing it so that we could chat a little about her cats that she was buying a heavy bag of cat litter for. It felt good to help a random stranger. I got out of myself and took a breather from "my busy, important life" so that I could "stop and smell the roses". I walked over and helped get it adjusted and gave her some tips about the class and indoor spinning.
